Consultancy services
Consultancy services around accessibility and inclusion, and disability awareness training.
Catherine has a wealth of both personal and professional experience around disability and inclusion, and this can be utilised to support your business or organisation in improving access and inclusion in your events and/or services on a consultancy basis. This could include reviewing your current offer and building, making visits (official or ‘secret shopper’) to your organisation to review current accessibility, reviewing your online offer, or providing support to develop new services.
Disability awareness training for staff and volunteers will be tailored to your specific needs. This could be a short awareness session or a full day workshop depending on your needs and budget. Catherine is a great believer in practical experience when delivering training, so where possible attendees will be encouraged to experience things from a range of perspectives and needs in order to understand how to best support and accommodate customers with different disabilities.
Note. Catherine can deliver broad spectrum disability awareness training covering the full range of disabilities, or focussed training around the needs of people with a physical or mobility related disability or long term health condition. If you are looking for specific Deaf Awareness training then she will refer to a Deaf trainer who has a lifetime of experience as a Deaf individual and BSL user. If you want specific Visual Impairment training, then she will refer you to a Blind or partially sighted trainer.
